I've been wanting a new wallet, but just won't let myself buy one. The one I have is in perfect condition. My only reason for wanting a new one is pure boredom. I get bored with my wallets & purses. In the past, I would just go out & buy my way out of boredom. Granted, I always bought on sale, and kept it cheap, but it was still money. Since sticking to my budget, I think alot harder before I buy something.
I have alot of fabric in my stash from years ago. So at this point, the cost of it is LONG gone. Not to mention, that much of it was given to me. I use this fabric to test stuff and learn on, which is wonderful.
Friday I was looking around Craftster and came across a tutorial for a small wallet. It looked easy enough, so on Saturday I tried it. I made a mistake that seems silly now, but worked out for my preference. In the tutorial the pockets are facing out. I made mine facing in. I actually like the way it looks better. I know where everything is and it's not obvious to people in line next to me what's where.

I love that this wallet is so small, yet holds so much.
I have in it: driver's lisence, debit card, credit card, 5 store member cards, 4 gift cards, $5 cash, and a receipt.

All of the pictures are with the wallet full of my contents. As a bonus, when cleaning out my wallet, I found an Old Navy Gift Card. When I checked the balance? $10! WooHoo!! I got paid to make my wallet. haha I'm choosing to believe that God was honoring my decision to not waste our money.
This is where I found the tutorial.
I'm thinking I might make up a bunch of these & list them on etsy, for those people who don't want to make one. Let me know if you would be interested and what colors you'd like. I'm thinking I'd price them around $5.
