We had a wonderful weekend, in spite of my feelings on the whole mother's day "holi"day. I have more thoughts on all that, but that's for another day & another post.
Friday I got flowers from dear hubby. A dozen roses. So sweet.
Saturday after doing some stuff around the house and Nathan's nap... we loaded in to the car & took off. I love driving for the sake of driving. Get me into the middle of nowhere, with no agenda & I'm a happy girl! We ate lunch at one my favorite places, Taco Express. Such yummy food!
We drove into Giles & Lawrence counties. Saw some beautiful country at took it all in. Nathan stayed awake for most of the drive. He called many horses & cows dogs and seemed to enjoy himself as well.
Here's a couple of pictures:

On Sunday we went to church, picked up lunch a came home for a quiet day. Can you tell that my favorite things to do rarely include a bunch of people?
Nathan went down for a nap, and so did I. Oh it was nice. Windows open, cool breeze, birds singing. We didn't wake up until 6 and it was nice. We had an evening just playing and having fun laughing at each other. At one point I was chasing Nathan around with a big piece of fabric. I wrapped it around him like a cape & he giggled so hard.
Once he was in bed, I went into my remnant stash and found some blue silky fabric. hmm.. perfect for a cape for a little boy! I spent the rest of the evening making him a cape.
Here's some pictures of my little superhero this morning.

He really is my little superhero! He turned me into a mama. He makes me smile and steals my heart everyday. He reminds of who I want be and the reason I want to make this world a better place.

I love his cape, he's grown so much. Too cute.
mmm I am jealous of your countryside photos. Absolutely gorgeous!
Your words are beautiful. So are you. :) I love who you were, but even more, who Nathan has made you.
