Apparently China and its problem with lead in toys is causing even more problems now. I know of alot of moms who have been opting for handmade toys in place of plastic and mass produced toys. Well, we may not have that option much longer. I for one, will not sit back and do nothing.
There is a law that is due to go into effect in February. Its the Consumer Products Safety Improvement Act, which is all well and good to keep the big guys in check. But, if left as it is currently written, will put mom & pop companies out of business. Yes, this will even keep people from making a handful of cute toys to sell on Etsy and at Craft Fairs.
