Haiti

A few months ago while looking on an adoption site, I came across a little boy in Haiti. I fell in love with him, and if money and time were not issues, I would have gone to bring him home.

Things didn't work out for him to be our son. Mainly, because of finances.

Since then, I have had a burden to get completely out of debt and raise money for our next adoption. My heart keeps turning towards Haiti. During the summer, I prayed for the country as Tropical Storms and Hurricanes ripped through.

Tonight I was just looking around Yahoo and came across a story that completely broke my heart.

Haiti Food Crisis ~ To give you a comparison. At his 11 month check up, Nathan weighed in at 22 pounds. These kids at 4 & 5 weigh less than he does!

Something inside of me just knew that we need to go to Haiti. Even if I don't bring a child, I need to do something.

Recently our church did this S.H.A.P.E. class. One video was talking about finding what God has put on your heart. The more I pray about it, the stronger I feel it. I feel called to help orphans. I am still asking God to show me more of what He wants me to do.

In the mean time. Pray for these families who are truly struggling. We in American whine when we can't get credit to buy the newest car. We are so greedy and spoiled! Can you feed your kids? Do you have a roof over your head?? Then stop complaining!!

Sorry.. got a little carried away. haha

If you feel so inclined to help us reach our goal to adopt a child from Haiti, email me. Or just donate using RME.
