Finalization

I know, I haven't been posting lately.... we've been having too much fun with David and Nancy!!

Here's the long awaited post about Finalization.

We went to court last Tuesday, August 5th. We drove to Nashville & finalized in Davidson county. They do all their adoptions in one day, so you show up @ 10, and wait for your turn. It was fun seeing all the different families and babies/kids waiting. You could feel the excitement and anticipation in the air.

Nathan was excited to be on our way.

So excited, that he had to chew on Puppy!!

Once we got there, we had to fix his hair... have I mentioned that I'm ready to trim it??
Arrived at Court, fixing hair

He's ready for me to trim it too... combing it out has become a serious ordeal!
Gotta look our best

Phew, we're done! Aunt Nancy is ready to get him up there. :)

He got tired of waiting... I was amazed that he slept, it was loud in that hallway and kids were running all around us.

Lots of families! 14 including us, and most brought friends and family with them.
There were alot of families

No one left, but us... I started to feel a little nervous. What if the judge didn't like us? What if Nathan threw a fit in there? What if what if... said a silent prayer, took a deep breath and calmed down.

Our Judge. She thought Nathan was at least 15 months old, and declared that he would "be a handful". Oh, she also gave him a Tootsie Pop. That will go in the scrapbook, not his mouth. lol
