I was trying to get a cute shot of Nathan... quite hard with a toddler. He was having fun running from me! haha This shirt came from Grandma & Grandpa Donehue. Very adorable. He wore it Thursday, Friday & Saturday. =)
Mike & I had agreed to not do anything for Valentine's this year. We'd much rather put the money towards the adoption fund. It's funny, because in year's past I'd done the "girl" thing and said I didn't want anything. All the while secretly hoping he would surprise me. Those years I was disappointed. This year, I really meant it. People were getting Nathan gifts and I was enjoying that.
The Thursday before Valentine's day, I went to the library with my friend Katie & the kids. It was a fun day and driving home I was thinking about how much I enjoy my life. I had that feeling of contentment, that not much else was needed. As I pulled up I saw a box at the door. "Hmm.. not expecting anything." It was a box of tulips from my sweety. Not only did he surprise me, he remembered my favorite flowers!
So, Saturday morning I wished Mike a happy Day. I thanked him for my flowers & said that he made me look bad. I stuck to not doing anything. Then he got a grin & said "Oh, there's more." He got me TWO cards, one from him & one from Nathan. The one from him was actually one of those mushy type cards that I love. I also got some candy & a new mug. Yeah, I was spoiled this year.
