They are awesome for overnight, since the wool absorbs moisture and yet feels dry. They keep baby warm, cuz wool is warm like that.
I could never break down & pay for them. I'm just too cheap for all that. I had seen how to make them from wool sweaters, but for some reason I just never braved it. I had gone to Goodwill and picked up a couple sweaters, but they just sat in my closet.
Well, this morning I decided that I could do. Why this morning? Who stinking knows!
It took me less than an hour, and they fit great! I purposely left the legs long. 1- growing room. 2- the cute cuffed look.
One sweater cost me $1.50 and I have LOTS left over on that sweater.

I'm not one who usually gets excited or anything. But when Nathan woke up & went in to his room with Longies in hand... I did a "Your Mama is awesome dance." He laughed, I laughed & it's been a great morning!
Off to church for us now. =)

Awww, he looks so cute! I have a little godbaby that I think would very much appreciate wool longies in this weather.
Have a great weekend.

tThose look great! What a wonderful idea. So warm and snuggly. And I'm all for anything that uses a thrifted sweater and only takes and hour or so! Perfect!
