I started getting nervous about messing up the quilting part of my brown & blue blanket. So, I decided to put it on hold & work out my jitters. I had recently seen a craft-blog post about making pot holders. They were talking about how a pot holder is a mini-quilt. So, I decided to try it.
I had to get special batting for heat resistance, but other than that, everything came from my stash. I made my own binding, which was an achievement in itself. For some reason, I always thought binding was SO hard.
Mistakes are there, and I can be the first to admit that this is far from perfect. But, it looks good & built my confidence. AND, I needed new pot holders.
