Cell Phone Drama

I remember the days, pre-Nathan, when my sister would complain about loosing yet another phone to the babies. I could never understand why she would let them play with her phone.

Last Monday I was looking at our cell phone bill & saw that I was eligible for a free phone upgrade. I wasn't expecting this, so I got a little excited. I went back and forth on which phone to get, or whether to do it at all. After talking to Mike, I decided to go for it & keep my old phone as backup. (I hate paying insurance on phones) I ordered the phone online & it told me my phone would be arriving no later than Friday.

The next Wednesday morning, I was at the computer working on church finances. I had my phone on the desk with me. I guess I should stop & say that Nathan now stands on his tippy toes & grabs for things on the desk... So anyhow, I looked at & saw he had grabbed my phone. I took it away from him & checked for drool, none, thank goodness. Few minutes later, I notice that my phone is missing. Sure enough, little grabber had it again. This time it was DRENCHED it drool!! I took the phone apart, dried it off & put it back together. It kept acting like it was charging & wouldn't turn back on again. I took everything apart again & left it for a couple of hours.

Meanwhile, I checked status on my new phone. Did I mention how relieved I was that I had decided to order the new phone?? Yeah, seriously!! So, checked status & guess what? It was out for delivery!! WooHoo!

When I was putting my new phone together, I noticed some warnings on the back of the battery. I got a laugh... apparently babies & batteries don't play well together.



So, I now have a phone that no longer rests on the desk. I also learned a lesson in judging other mommies. Just don't do it, it will come back to you!!
