First Words

Nathan has joined the league of speakers.

He has been saying hi for a long time. I didn't realize that he was saying it until a friend pointed it out. I guess I was just hearing sounds & not expecting words. I believe he was about 4 months old. He was saying correctly, in case you are wondering. ha!

Then, Tuesday he had a BIG day!! He said mama, which melted my heart. He's been making the mmmmm sounds, but I wasn't expecting mama so soon. Especially since people say how much easier "dada" is for babies to say. Then not too long after that, as a friend was walking out the front door, Nathan waved & said "bye bye". It was intentional and un-prompted.

He's said mama twice since then, but that's about it. He's being alot more vocal with his jabbering and he has been doing funny things with his tongue. So cute!

Oh yeah, Hi & Bye both have a very southern drawl!! lol
